Pavel cries. The ghosts hover hungrily at the edges of his paddleboard and Pavel screws his eyes shut tight, grits his teeth, and clings to the oar.
Pavel: O Lady Cheline… Please… If you can hear me… if you can still hear prayers… I… NEED you.
Suddenly, ghosts begin to turn away from the paddleboard. Pavel doesn’t notice, but a red light begins to rise up towards his board from below. The ghosts watch patiently as a long snout pokes out from the depths.
Pavel: I don’t know what to do… Or where to go. And I just lost everything. Goddess… I can’t do this alone.
Pavel doesn’t notice as the seaghosts slowly back away, looking up as a long neck emerges from the ocean and a creature looks down at the boy who is praying. Black spines are printed onto the smooth reptilian skin along the back of its neck and onto its back.
Pavel: Please SEND HELP. Send someone. Anyone. Please.
Behind him, Cabana Morena is dark and still. A faint plume of smoke rises from the top of the lighthouse, where the electrical connection was severed. Everything around him is cast in a red tint as the creature, which seems to be a plesiosaur, rears its head and looks, thoughtfully, and perhaps a bit surprised, down at the boy. It’s partially see through, a seaghost for certain, but its eyes are red and sentient where most ghosts are blank faced. Pavel throws back his head and allows himself to cry. His mouth falls open and he sobs, yelling, desperate, scared and lost.
Pavel: Please HELP US!
