Pavel points upward as he talks.
Pavel: Shoshana's buried at the Saberfort palace, isn't she? In the tallest tower... in the Graviary room. Have you been in there before? Everyone says it's beautiful.
As they speak, they imagine a room filled with trees and ferns, overshadowed by vine-strangled marble columns. Mist and motes fill the air around a tall carved headstone emblazoned with God's Tongue script. All manner of tropical birds sit on and flutter around it, and sunlight streams down through the leaves above.
Phaedra: Yes! There are plants and pools all around... and birds singing at all hours of the day. And her trident rests on top of her marble tomb. I got to hold it once!
Pavel (offscreen): You got to HOLD BONEFEATHER?!
Phaedra (offscreen): Well... to be honest... Lani dared me to grab it when both our mothers were turned away.
An imagined scene of another area in the Graviary. A younger Phaedra and Lani stand atop a stepping stone in the middle of a sparkling pool. Phaedra has a firm grip on Bonefeather, lifting it high in victory. Phaedra's mother runs toward them with an outstretched arm, looking mortified. Lani's mother - a plume priestess who looks strikingly familiar, apart from her stronger physique and less-gaunt face - runs behind her, similarly worried.
The young Phaedra grips the trident close, mouth wide open in excitement.
Phaedra (offscreen): It was the best day of my life. And I was grounded for a month.
