Katja puts her paws up on the mattress, worried. Pavel raises a finger, questioning.
Pavel: What happened to all of you? After... that? How did you end up like THIS, and not a normal seaghost?
Phaedra looks down wistfully, and rubs Katja on the top of her head.
Phaedra: ...I challenged Cheth. And... I won.
Pavel pumps his fist.
Pavel: YOU BEAT CHETH?!
Phaedra, with plushies in her lap, looks a bit brighter. She looks down on him, quite a lot happier.
Phaedra: Haha, right? I was just as surprised as you are. It was... kind of easy, really.
Just out of view beyond the door, Cheth's female half listens. Her lips are pursed, annoyed. The rat on her shoulder is equally annoyed.
She leans just around the doorframe, flashing angry red eyes in the direction of the princess. The rat does the same. Phaedra continues explaining.
Phaedra: But when I tried to bring my crew back too... he tricked me. We were sent back half-alive, but he told me there's some sort of relic that can bring us back to life. He said we need a living volunteer to find it before the new year... or else we go back. For good.
