Pavel leans off the edge of the bed, pointing at Katja, who sits outside the bubble, smiling.
Pavel: AND YOU! YOU'RE great too, Katja!
Katja smiles and pants.
Pavel (offscreen): I know you don't talk. But I feel like you could.
Pavel turns toward his backpack, and takes out the medicine bottle.
Pavel: I wonder what sorts of things you'd say?
Behind him, Katja looks quizzically with a 'hrrrm?'
Pavel shows her the bottle.
Pavel: Oh. This is my medicine! I have to take it every night, but... I can't show it to anyone, at least for a little while. You won't tell them about it, will you, girl?
Katja clenches her mouth shut and stares silently.
Pavel pours some of the medicine into a glass of juice. He smiles at Katja.
Pavel: Hehe. I knew I could count on you.
Pavel sips from the cup with a slurp.
Pavel: Safe for another day.
