Cheth leans forward, hands clasped, eyes closed in thought.
Cheth: I don't need a reason to help a boy at the mercy of the Ghostwater. Fortunately for us, and unfortunately for him, his plight ties neatly in with ours.
Above, the plesiosaur is taking notes quickly, and nodding just as quickly, as Pavel asks a multitude of questions.
Pavel: When is your birthday? Has anyone else ever won a challenge? Do you like your tattoos? I think they look neat. IS red your favorite color? Where did you get all of that food? Could you draw a MAP of where we need to travel? How old are you? How big were you before the Fracture? How many seaghosts can you take control of at once? Does Phaedra REALLY look like Shoshana? Are those two people twins, and what were their names? Do you like pancakes?
Cheth: But even so... he does remind me of someone I haven't seen for a terribly long time. It may mean nothing... but it's another sign I can't ignore.
Phaedra raises a hand, looking unmoved.
Phaedra: All right... then what about the 'we can save your mother' thing? There's absolutely no way that's truthful.
Both Cheths' eyes flash red.
Cheth: I don't lie to children.
