The Fata Morgana holds Vanna down, still raising the knife to her throat. Cheline raises Halea's body to a standing position. She speaks, but the Fata Morgana remains silent.
Cheline: I didn't bring you here to COMFORT me. I brought you here for information... for entertainment... for a deft pair of hands. Not for PITY.
Vanna looks up, pleading, the knife glinting under her chin.
Vanna: There MUST be another solution! There has to be! There ALWAYS is!
Cheline lowers Halea's lids, glaring through cyan eyes.
Cheline: There is only ONE possible solution, and it has already been discussed.
She looks through the Fata Morgana's glass eyes, but it still does not speak.
Cheline (offscreen): It will not be discussed any further.
Vanna grits her teeth, determined.
Vanna: What if I keep trying to convince you otherwise? Every single day?
Cheline moves Halea's hands to hold the head of the Fata Morgana, which goes unsettlingly limp. Its head rolls to one side and it stares blankly forward. Halea's body speaks, looking smug.
Cheline: Then I slit your throat, and the convincing stops. Your soul will go to my brother, and your body will be unlocked to me. You will be embalmed and wrapped, your mouth will be sewn shut, your organs will be removed, and your eyes will be replaced with glass.
