ANATHEMA

In a black, watery void, dead faces stare out, shaded in red.

"How does one kill a god of death? We didn't know then, but we know now, don't we?"

Red threads carry the dialogue downward along a broken string of bones - a spine. From it, the same red threads emanate and twist amongst each other.

"You rip out his soul like the cord from a spine... And you break every bone beyond mending."

As more red faces gather in the background, people reach out and upward, anguished.

"And when his followers scream for you to stop, you ignore their cries with a smile. Simply tell them 'It was necessary! This was a good and noble thing I did for you!'"

The spine and strings end at two enormous red eyes, crowned with black plated lashes. They stare out with the look of something freshly killed, as red threads run out along the ground like blood.

"'He deserved it, you know. He was a monster.'"
