As Pavel and Phaedra chat, Cheth's male half continues leaning around the corner.
Pavel: Maybe Cheth brought me here because I wouldn't be afraid of you!
Phaedra: No... he brought you here and told us to EAT you.
Pavel holds up a finger and smiles.
Pavel: Well, he said he brought dinner, and he did! He brought us a bunch of food, like we were about to go on a journey!
Pavel turns away with a hand to his chin, thinking.
Pavel: Now I'm thinking... What if my mom and your relic are in the same exact place? It would make a lot of sense.
Phaedra looks over his shoulder, a pained expression on her face.
Phaedra: Could be, but Cheth said he didn't know where the relic is, so... that's not much of a clue.
Pavel turns around, shrugging with his palms in the air.
Pavel: Cheth DID seem to know where my mom went. Why don't we just... ask him?
Phaedra puckers her lips and puffs her cheeks slightly.
Phaedra: ... ASK HIM?
Outside, the Cheths are looking at each other, surprised. The rat continues to perch on the female half's head. They all look curious at the boy's suggestion.
Pavel: You can understand the gods' tongue, so you can talk to him and ask him things! If he wants us to work together, that means he wants us to succeed. Asking him where my mom went might not work, but it's a start, right?
