The female half of Cheth clasps the man's hand in both of hers, speaking through a small smile, her eyes closed. The man looks at her, somewhat surprised. They float in the redness of the sea, capes billowing around them. She speaks - her words lacking a familiar godly echo.
Cheth(?): You have faithfully done everything IĀ asked of you... And when you can open your true eyes again... I will be more proud of you than you can imagine.
The man looks down at the woman, sorrowfully. The woman looks up at the man, similarly stricken. She looks away, raising a hand to her throat. He looks away as well. They both speak in unison, the echo returning.
Cheth: I'm so sorry.
The two halves of Cheth turn away from each other, somewhat shamefully.
Cheth: I mustn't...
Cheth: ...Speak for you like that.
